Grady dominates week four at Grant Park

On Wednesday September 25, Grady competed in their fourth Grant Park meet of the season. The Grady girls dominated the race, taking the top seven places of the competition. First place was taken by senior Gracie Griffith, with a time of 22 minutes and 30 seconds. The next six runners, Walden Jones, Meredith Fossitt, Anna Tischer, Avery Bufkin, Magda Dumitrescu and Colleen Griffin, all finished within three minutes of Griffith. The Grady boys placed seven consecutive runners, starting with senior Conrad Newton. Newton placed fourth with a time of 20 minutes and 35 seconds. The next six runners, William Chapman, Aiden Goldston, Erik Tischer, Aiden Downey, Ryan Jackson and Robert Mobley, all finished within ten seconds of Newton. Coach Jeff Cramer told his runners to run the first lap hard, then to relax and run the last two laps at a slower pace.
