On Tuesday, Jan. 18, both girls and boys varsity basketball faced off against region rival Chapel Hill in an away contest. The boys lost while the girls improved their region and state rankings with a win.

The girls won by a score of 55-26, moving their overall record to 11-4 and their region record to 2-3, just one game shy of .500.

The boys were defeated by a score of 61-45, moving to 4-11 overall. Their region record is 1-4, the worst in region 6-AAAAA.
