Volleyball honored in All-Region 6AAAAA teams

On Monday, the All-Region 6AAAAA volleyball teams were announced, and Grady had six players recognized. Senior Kiala Blackman led the team in kills and made the first team. Senior Carson Gray and junior Annie Laster led the team in digs and assists and made the second team. Honorable mentions were given to sophomore Emma Lepik, junior Jade Lewis, and junior Kennedy Johnson.

Basketball tryouts to take place on Oct. 26-30

Grady Cross Country Runs the “Pickens & ‘a Grinnin” Invitational

The Grady Cross country team has finished their 4th meet of the season. The varsity boys placed 4th with the fastest Grady time coming from junior Everett Schroeder. Cheer suspended for 2 weeks

A member of the cheer team has recently tested positive for COVID-19. According to Grady athletic director Patrick Johnson, the team "will have to suspend practices and participation at games for two weeks." Football, on the other hand, is set to continue as "no members of the team were considered close contacts of the student who tested positive."

Knights fall 59-8 to Villa Rica

In an away game on Friday, Oct. 9, the Knights' football team loses its first conference game of the season 59-8 to Villa Rica. Villa Rica scored only 8 points in the first but took over in the second quarter scoring 36 to lead 44-0 at the half. Football falls to North Atlanta 35-0

The Knights played their third game of the season today against North Atlanta at the Grady Stadium. To start the first quarter, the Warriors intercepted the ball, which led to a touchdown.
