S’ner alums say thanks to beloved adviser

Kate Carter, an adviser of The Southerner since 2008, is leaving the paper after six years. She will be assisting her husband in his run for governor. Her former students submitted these farewell messages describing the impact Ms. Carter had on the staff and on their education.
