Simmons enjoys spending her free time with friends, reading and cheering. Sometimes school work can be hard to juggle, but as the school year progresses Simmons has found good ways to navigate it.

Freshman Vivian Simmons juggles a heavy work load and busy schedule for her schooling at Midtown. Simmons also stays very busy outside of school with cheer and other activities she likes to participate in.

“It’s hard being introduced to a new type of workload in high school,” Simmons said. “The work load is a lot heavier, and a lot more difficult then I aniticpated.”

Simmons focuses quite a bit on school, but when she has the time she enjoys spending her time doing many other things.

“When I have the ability to, I love to read, go to the gym and hang out with my friends,” Simmons said. “I also love doing cheer and cheering at the football and basketball games for the school.”
