On Tuesday, Dec. 13, The Atlanta Board of Education will host two community forums at 12 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the district’s headquarters where four finalists vying for an appointment to an open board seat will answer questions submitted by residents in advance. 

The appointee will serve out the remaining year of District 9 At-Large Representative Jason Esteves’ term, who is resigning at the end of the month after winning an election to the Georgia state Senate in November.

At a later date, the current board members will select the appointee.
