Junior Imani Johnson has a passion for political activism. This year, she is co-leading the “Midtown Votes” club and worked for the national “My Votes” organization, a non-profit with the goals of increasing youth voter participation, this summer.

“I enjoy midtown High Votes because I have a passion for civic action and I feel like I’m creating a change within the world,” said Johnson.

This year, Midtown Votes plans to get 90% of eligible voters in the school registered for midterms in November.
