Knights lose to Chapel Hill

On Friday October 23rd, the Grady Knights varsity football team fell to Chapel Hill High School by a score of 19-14.

After a succsesful first half which included second quarter 64 yard touchdown to senior Wide Reciever Chase Stokes, the game was all tied with a score of 7-7.

In the second half, Stokes caught his second touchdown pass with a six yard score making it 14-7 with 6:25 left in the third quarter. Chapel Hill responded with a touchdown in the 4th quarter but missing the extra point, Knights lead 14-13 with 8:00 left in the game. The Knights were held scoreless for the rest of the game and ultimately gave up a 43 yard rushing touchdown with 3:53 left in the game that selaed the deal.

The Knights are now 1-6 in all competitions. Their next game is a region matchup against New Manchester High School on October 30th.
