The Renaming Committee voted to recommend the name Ida B. Wells High School to the Atlanta Board of Education for consideration at their November 2 meeting. Of the seven committee members, four voted for Ida B. Wells, two voted for Midtown and one voted for Piedmont. The district will soon begin a separate renaming process to rename Grady Stadium.
