Trump offends many, yet trumps all

Trump+offends+many%2C+yet+trumps+all

Donald Trump belongs in Mean Girls, hanging with the “Plastics”. He seems to have no idea about politics, but gets up on stage and repeats offensive, racist, uneducated, and downright stupid things sometimes (most of the time). There are too many quotes to choose from, but two of my favorites are “Laziness is a trait in the blacks. … Black guys counting my money! I hate it,” and “The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yamakas every day.” One can assume most Americans aren’t ignorant racists, so the question remains: how has he made it this far in the 2016 election? Why has Trump become a front-running candidate for the presidency?

Here’s his trick: what he lacks in experience, he makes up for in bluntness. As the chairman and president of The Trump Organization, and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts, he applies the tools he learned in the business world to modern-day politics. Although most of what he says is pretty dumb, I have to respect him for his boldness. Voters driven to support Trump are simply sick of having to deal with puppets that call themselves politicians. They think politicians are too worried about being politically correct or are being controlled by corporations, both of which definitely do not apply to Trump. Many voters also want to break away from the repetitive, status-quo platforms that plague today’s Republican Party. Trump does not care; does not care about formality, nor conformity, nor money. Trump has changed the game of politics because he does what he wants, when he wants, how he wants.

Donald Trump is a sexist and a racist. He makes his dissenting opinions about females very clear, and his idea of building a wall describes his approach to immigration. He has explained many times that the Mexican government is intentionally sending rapists, murderers, and drug dealers into America.

To a rational, educated person, these claims are ridiculous. Luckily for Trump, voters look for a strong candidate. They look for someone who will say something and passionately stand by what they said. Another reason Trump has been so successful is because he refuses to apologize. When asked if he wanted to retract any comments he made about females in the first GOP debate, he neglected to do so. When asked if he wanted to apologize to Jeb Bush’s wife about the racist comments he made about her, he did not apologize. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Donald Trump explained that, to apologize, you have to first be wrong, and Trump never believes that he’s wrong. He is passionate and stands by what he says.

Donald Trump is many things, one of which is not a suitable president. However, he remains a top contender in the Republican Party.

Now for all those Trump supporters that have read my article, I urge you to take a step back and realize who you are advocating for—a bigoted, immature man with nothing better to do, and no better way to spend his money, than stir up the politics of this country. Listen to what he is actually saying. Do your research. Understand that Donald Trump has no idea what he is talking about, has no idea about politics in general, and has absolutely no idea how to run a country.
