Midtown High School’s PTSO present seminars to discuss adolescent anxiety and depression

Midtown High School’s PTSO, parents, and staff are offering engaging adult education opportunities on adolescent anxiety and depression. The first seminar will be hosted Saturday, March 4 from 9:00 am-10:30 am and Monday, March 6 from 7:00 pm -8:30 pm in-person in MHS multipurpose room and discussing “How to identify anxiety and depression and get support.” This seminar has a purpose of guiding parents in learning to identify if their child is struggling with anxiety and/or depression and provide an overview of the proven therapy strategies that can effectively support adolescents struggling with anxiety and depression.

The keynote speaker will be Midtown High School’s School Psychologist, speaking on their experience working with adolescents and what mental health services are available specifically for Midtown cluster parents/caregivers.
