APS Board approves telehealth services for all APS students

The Atlanta Board of Education approved a contract on Aug. 8 to provide physical and emotional telehealth services for all students in APS schools. The contract between APS and provider Hazel Health is a year-to-year agreement for $500,000 per year or roughly $15 per student. The approval for the telehealth services, which should be accessible to students by the end of the 2022-2023 school year, follows elevated concerns regarding students’ mental health during the past school year.
