Atlanta City Council examines pedestrian safety after an accident at the airport

After an unfortunate incident at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport where a mother and her children were hit by a car, attention has been drawn to Atlanta city officials as they find solutions by collaborating with Atlanta police to ensure the safety of pedestrians and improve the flow of airport traffic. Officials say the youngest child was ejected from the stroller on impact as the mother and her two other children had come out of the terminal and were trying to cross the road on the north side. Councilman Hillis is proposing Chief Rodney Bryant use firefighters and others part-time to supplement the traffic staff.
