Emory University partners with Atlanta Public Schools to help employee mental health

Emory University is partnering with Atlanta Public Schools to aid in the health and wellbeing of employees through Emory’s Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP).

The program will provide 11 licensed behavioral clinicians to support employees in the nine APS clusters who might be in need of emotional assistance. Emory’s FSAP operates from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers specialized and immediate care to assist APS staff who are facing serious issues that negatively impact their emotional wellbeing and mental health. Among others, examples of these issues are experiencing traumatic deaths, domestic violence and suicidal thoughts.
