Since her freshman year, junior Leah Braun has been a member of the theater tech backstage crew and has contributed to every in-person show since. While her commitment to the theater program has remained constant, Braun’s role in the production rarely stays the same. When preparing for productions, Braun tends to work on set construction and adheres to the duties of a backstage crew member, a time-consuming yet rewarding position. 

“I love everything about theater tech but especially the community,” Braun said. “We become a family through production, nobody is trying to be better than anyone else. It’s really fun to be around people who are excited to be working together towards a common goal.”

Finding the program a fun way to make new friends, Braun encourages everyone to join theater tech.
