Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Herring named co-chair for Mayor Dickens’s transition team

Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lisa Herring was selected as one of five co-chairs for Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens’s transition team. Along with Herring, former Mayor Sam Massell, Georgia State University President Bran Blake, Federal Reserve of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic and Bank of America’s President of Global Commercial Banking Wendy Stewart were also selected.

“As the proud superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, I am honored and humbled to be selected to represent our school district on Mayor Dickens’ transition team,” Dr. Herring said. “We are thrilled that Mayor Dickens and his administration are committed, as are we, to continuing the growth of the partnership between the City of Atlanta and APS. We are also proud to have him celebrate in the swearing in of our re-elected and new Board Members and look forward to a powerful future together for our children and our city.”
