In a night full of turnovers and penalties, the Knights lost 28-7 to the Carver Panthers. Sophomore Nigel Walton returned a Panther fumble for a touchdown, leading the Knights off to a strong 7-0 start in the first quarter. In the third quarter, junior Ronquavious Cullins recovered another fumble, but the offense was not able to convert it into points. For almost the entire game, the Knights struggled to break the goal line. Despite the loss on Senior Night, family and friends of the senior players and cheerleaders got a chance to be escorted across the field. Thankfully, this won’t be their last memory of Grady High football; the Knights open the playoffs with a tough test against Columbia High School.
