Southerner wins Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s top award

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association today named the Southerner newspaper one of the top high school newspapers in the country by awarding the publication its top award, the Gold Crown at its annual convention in New York. The publication was chosen for the Crown Program out of over 1,000 digital, print newspapers, magazines and yearbooks published during the 2017-2018 school year. The honor represents the third time the Southerner has earned CSPA’s top award.
