Students issued P-EBT cards

All Atlanta Public School families will receive a P-EBT card in the mail the week of November 16th.   This is a one-time, per child Congressionally approved pandemic benefit which is part of the First Families Act legislation. Once the card is activated, there will be $256.50 on it that can be used for a wide array of groceries, toiletries, etc. at practically any store. To activate the card, enter 0000 when prompted for the last four of your SSN.

If families are not in need of the card, they can do any of the following:

• Donate food to Intown Collaborative Ministries’ free food pantry (across from Urban Outfitters on Ponce.) They regularly help Grady cluster families in need and are currently experiencing a 400% increase in requests for food. The EBT card can be used at all major grocery stores, including Costco. Specific items needed and drop off days and times can be found here: https://intowncm.org/donate/food-donations

• Use it to buy  groceries and donate cash to Grady Cares or Intown Collaborative Ministries or Action Ministries, which also helps those in the Grady neighborhood battle poverty and homelessness.
