The Henry W. Grady Renaming Committee met at 5 on Tuesday, August 18 to discuss the timeframe of the process going forward. They ratified the decision to recommend a name other than Henry W. Grady to the Atlanta School Board and clarified that this excluded any hyphenations. Additionally, they officially pushed back the next meeting from September 15 to October 13 in order to provide ample time for student, faculty and community input. The committee intends to make an official recommendation on October 20 for the board to hear on November 2.
