G3 Robotics wins chairman’s award at state competition

The G3 Robotics team was virtually awarded with the state chariman’s award at the Georgia FIRST Robotics Competition. With the state level interview and presentation for the award being done virtually, the accolade measures a team’s impact on their community rather than robot performance and is considered the most prestigious FIRST robotics award. The team’s outreach with students with special needs, Drones for Good program and outreach with local homeless shelter the Nicholas House were all considered when G3 was chosen as the winner.
