Students pushing city for safer crossing at 10th Street and Monroe Drive intersection
December 4, 2018
Grady students are fighting for a safer crossing intersection at 10th Street and Monroe Drive where Alexia Hyneman was struck by a car and killed in February 2016. A group of students has spoken at City Hall Transportation Committee meetings to present its call to action to the council members. The group is looking for five to ten more people to come to City Hall meetings and a parent to help drive them about 10 minutes to City Hall, once every two weeks. The next meeting is Wednesday, Dec. 12.
