U.S. Supreme Court refuses to hear test cheating appeal by two former APS employees

The U.S. Supreme Court today refused to hear the appeals of Tamara Cotman, a former Atlanta Public Schools area executive director and Angela Williamson, a former Dobbs Elementary School teacher. The two were among 11 former APS employees convicted and sentenced three years ago in a rackateering case centered around the district’s test-cheating scandal on standardized state exams. The Georgia Supreme Court had denied their requests of an appeal of their convictions earlier this year.
