Seniors Kivon Taylor, Darren Dowdell, Kate de Give, Troy Kleber, Abrahana James and Jeffrey Cox stand with Superintendent Errol Davis after receiving their various Coca-Cola Awards at the 5th Annual Calvin “Monk” Jones Lecture Series and 2013 Coca-Cola Scholar Athlete Awards held at Benjamin E. Mays High School.

Kivon Taylor and Abrahana James both received the Athletic Achievement Award for outstanding athletic achievement. Jeffrey Cox was given the Fine Arts Award for his leadership and high achievement in fine arts. Darren Dowdell was awarded the Golden Helmet Award for students who have demonstrated exceptional athletic talent. Kate de Give and Troy Kleber both received the Scholar Athlete Award given to student athletes who exhibit high academic standing at their school. Kleber also received the Superintendent’s Scholar Athlete Award for being the top male athlete with the highest academic standing in the district.
