The Grady Grey Knights took on Jackson and Lovejoy High. The varsity team had a double header against Jackson and Lovejoy on Thursday, Aug. 20. The varsity team ended up winning both games in the first two sets, securing them their first wins of the season. The JV team only played Jackson and won the game in the final set with a score of 25-17, gaining another win for the Knights.
“It’s been a rough start but this week we ended winning two games, which was very good. It’s much better than last week, and I have hope that we will do better and go deep into the state tournament, fingers crossed,” Jewel Smith a Grady varsity player, said.
The JV and varsity Knights will play Therrell and Carver next Tuesday at Grady.
