Runners concluded in Piedmont Park after participating in the 2012 Color Run 5k all over Atlanta. The race brought many different athletes together for a cause, because it offered a walk in addition to the run. It took place at 9 a.m. on March 31 and benefited Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In order to get the best turnout, in addition to the walk, The Color Run put on an encore race on April 7. This second race is to gain more awareness and support for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and to gather the community in a healthy way. The race had only three basic rules: they welcome everyone, you must wear white and be on time and you must be completely covered in bright color spots at the end of the race.
