At their best, Jesters get the Wertz


At the Catholic Forensic League National Qualifier held Saturday at The Marist School, the Jesters captured the inaugural “Phillip Wertz Sweepstakes Trophy” and qualified 20 team members for the Grand Nationals Tournament to be held Memorial Day weekend in Baltimore.

Qualifying Jesters included Lauren Ogg (public forum bebate), Grace Power (public forum debate), Sammi Dean (public forum debate), Olivia Veira (public forum debate), Salome Kakashivili (public forum debate), Katherine Zakharova (public forum debate), Jamie Reid (Lincoln-Douglas debate), Tiger Li (Lincoln-Douglas debate), Rachel Citrin (Lincoln-Douglas debate), Mallory Akard (original oratory), Isabelle Taft (extemporaneous speaking), Ben Simonds-Malamud (extemporaneous speaking), Rex Petersen (dramatic performance), Ryan Switzer (dramatic performance), Qri Montague (prose/poetry), Khadijah Brown (prose/poetry), Jahra Gholston (duo interp), Marius Jackson (duo interp), Ben Dean (policy debate) and Zoe Hamilton (policy debate).
