Tragedy near the CDC

On Friday, Aug. 8, a shooting near Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta left a police officer and the gunman dead. The incident began outside the CDC’s main campus and led to lockdowns at both the CDC and Emory. Investigators say the suspect fired multiple rounds before being found dead in a CVS nearby. No one else was injured, but police are still looking into whether the shooter’s anti-vaccine beliefs could have been a motive.
