School safety legislation passes in Georgia House

On Mar. 4, House Bill 268 was passed in the Georgia House. The school safety legislation was sponsored by Rep. Holt Persinger, the state representative from Winder, Georgia. The bill includes requiring schools to have physical safety plans, require the sharing of information about transfer students within five days, install mental health coordinators as well as other requirements.
