Honoring President Jimmy Carter

Services to honor 39th President Jimmy Carter began on Saturday, Jan. 5. The events will continue until his state official funeral on Jan. 9, 30 days after his passing. The funeral will be held at the Washington National Cathedral and President Carter will later lie in state at the United States Capitol rotunda.
