While looking for a way to reshape her community, junior Kate Krugman turned to Midtown’s chapter of March For Our Lives, a student-led national gun control advocacy organization, to spread awareness about and encourage action regarding gun violence. This Friday, Krugman and March For Our Lives will participate in a state-wide walkout where students can advocate for increased gun control legislation and show their solidarity for the victims of the recent shooting at Apalachee High School.
“I really want to help make a change with everything that I do,” Krugman said. “My friend Mariam and I were interested in March for Our Lives last year and this year we made it happen with Avery, Audrey and Julia as well. I’m really proud of everything that we’ve done so far and really hopeful for everything that we will do to make change later.”
