Since her freshman year, Sally Thompson has been a runner on the Midtown Cross Country Team, with the girls’ team placing second at State this season. Thompson joined the State team this year, anticipating a successful senior season. Due to shin injuries, Thompson could not participate in track but is grateful for the past cross country season, as it allowed her to exercise her love of running alongside supportive teammates.
“I’m sad that cross country is over, but hopefully I will run on a college team wherever I decide to go,” said Thompson.
