Sophomore Zachary Chan joined the Midtown Jesters in his Freshman year, and has thrived on the team, participating in Congressional Debate, Programmed Oral Interpretation, and is looking to compete in Original Oratory this year. Chan credits the team’s environment as a main reason he joined and continues on the team.

“My favorite of my extracurriculars would probably be speech and debate,” Chan said. “I really enjoy the activity itself and talking to the other student that are part of the program. Also, the teacher sponsor, Mr. Herrera seems to very much enjoy the club and is very dedicated to it, which makes it fun to be a part of.”
