Sophomore Lyla Gerretzen has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She plays for both Midtown’s Varsity and JV soccer teams and she plays on a club soccer team for Inter Atlanta. Although she originally started playing the sport to be like her older sister, her dad has been one of the biggest parts of her soccer career. 

“He’s really pushed me to be the soccer player that I am and he’s really supportive,” Gerretzen said. “He comes to every game no matter what, even the games I don’t play that much in.“
