Jacki Labat is a candidate for the City Council Post 3 At-Large. The Atlanta native is a member of the L.E.A.D Advisory Council and was the First Lady of the City of Atlanta Department of Corrections. This is her first campaign for office. 

Economy 

  • Want to build the economy by supporting the growth of small businesses 
  • Believes in Smart growth economic development
  • Believes that budget input should come from the leaders of all 12 districts

Crime

  • Supports fully staffing the Atlanta Police department (APD) and AFRD
  • Promotes holding law enforcement accountable
  • Crime prevention and reform
  • Resources to keep youth out of the criminal justice system

Social equity

  • Passionate about equity for the youth and providing equal education

Housing 

  • Emphasizes creating safe and livable neighborhoods
  • Passionate about affordable housing
  • Prioritize Post COVID Recovery Plan

Infrastructure

  • Suggests working with MARTA to provide more accessible parking and schools/shops within walking distance of MARTA train stations
