Michael Julian Bond

Incumbent Michael Julian Bond has served in Atlanta since 2009. He serves as a member of the Public Safety committees, Community Development/Human Resources and the Committee on Council. Bond is also the Chief Programs Officer and Deputy Director for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Atlanta branch (NAACP). Bond was born and raised in Atlanta and attended Frederick Douglass High School, Morehouse College, and Georgia State University. Bond is also a sworn public safety officer. He also worked with the $50 million Homeless Opportunity Project.
