Freshman Christian McClain is new to the Midtown cluster this year. McClain transferred from Centennial Academy but says he’s already acclimated to the school and likes it better.

“I like Midtown better because it’s a big school,” McClain said. “The teachers are good and the classes are good and there’s a courtyard.”

In his free time, McClain makes music.

“I rap when I can,” McClain said. “I have my own studio at home and I have five songs coming out on Sep. 24.
