Are you ready for it? The wait for a new Taylor Swift concert in Atlanta is over. On December 13, 2017, Taylor Swift’s birthday, she announced her fifth concert tour for her sixth studio album, “Reputation.” “Reputation” has taken the world by storm, exceeding expectations. Swift, who is a ten time Grammy winner, is set to perform at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Aug. 10th and 11th. Her opening performers are Camila Cabello and Charli XCX. “On every level, this is a dream come true. As a fan, I’m going to be singing every song at the top of my lungs. As a friend, it’s a GIANT SLEEPOVER” wrote Camilla on Instagram. Taylor is also known for bringing out surprise guests during concerts like her good friend Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Mick Jagger, Mary J. Blige, Nick Jonas, and The Weeknd.  Some of the special guests predictions for the Atlanta concerts are Cardi B, Dua Lipa, SZA, and Shawn Mendes.
Swift kicked off her tour in Glendale, Arizona on May 8th. A few days before, Swift got her 108 million Instagram followers excited after she posted a picture saying “I’ve never been more excited about a tour than I am about this one.” Swift’s fans have been able to keep up with every step of the preparation for the tour because of her Instagram. She has been getting her fans excited by posting videos and pictures of her making music, rehearsing her dance moves, and now pictures of her first shows. In some of the tour pictures we see giant snakes, crazy dance moves, huge crowds and Taylor’s famous red lipstick in a darker shade. It does make one wonder what kind of story she’s trying to tell us this time.
Swift’s “Reputation” album is her most daring and successful album yet. It has taken the music world by storm and her bold step to a new image has knocked over everyone’s expectations. The album includes songs like Look What You Made Me Do, which has almost a billion Youtube views, Ready for it?, End Game featuring Future and her good friend Ed Sheeran, and her more gentle song, Delicate. Her tour set will most likely include some of her other famous songs like Love Song, You Belong With Me, Shake it off, and Bad Blood.
For her new music, Taylor found inspiration in her weaknesses and hard times in the media over the past few years. She embraced her haters and has come back better than ever. Although the Reputation tour is meant to represent the “new taylor,” old fans still highly anticipate the tour selling out stadiums across the world. “I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time. Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time” Taylor Swift sung in her hit Look What You Made Me Do.
