The Lantern Parade shines light on the Atlanta Beltline

The Beltline comes to life on Sept. 9 as the largest temporary art exhibit in the south shines a new light on Atlanta. The Atlanta Lantern Parade every year since 2010 on the weekend after Labor Day . Last year, over 60,000 people marched with their creative, glowing lanterns- far more than its original 1,200 marchers in 2010. Lantern making workshops have been help by Lantern Parade hosts, Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, in preparation for the parade. With spectators and participants enjoying the first hints of fall, this Atlanta tradition draws crowds from all around the city.
