Senior Sam Rose started playing Grady ultimate frisbee when he was in eighth grade, and he has participated in the Grady cross country team since his freshman year. After all is said and done, Rose appreciates the relationships he has made with his teammates.
“My favorite part about running cross country and playing ultimate is probably the team factor, especially with cross country because I end up spending so much time with my teammates every day after school — going to practice, going on runs, and just talking a lot,” Rose said.
Not only is Rose a student-athlete, but he also is an entrepreneur.
“The business that I do involves obtaining and selling celebrity and athlete autographs,” Rose said. “I do it with one of my friends named Ari [Simmons], and we find places where rappers or athletes are going to be, and we try to bring items that they then will sign, and then we’ll sell them on eBay or Facebook. It’s just kind of a fun side hustle to make some money in high school.”
