Piper Martinsen, sophomore
October 25, 2020
Piper Martinsen has been playing soccer since a very young age. Her team’s season recently resumed after her club, Inter Atlanta Futbol Club, stopped practices for a period of time due to COVID-19. Despite struggling with an ankle sprain during the season, she still attends games and practices to support her team. Martinsen uses soccer events to interact with friends while maintaining COVID-19 precautions.
“It has been hard to make time to see my friends, and soccer has really allowed me to see other people,” Martinsen said. “I can go to practice and get that social interaction I haven’t been able to with there being no school. I love being able to see my friends and play soccer again.”
