The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced 13 Grady seniors as commended scholars after announcing four Grady Seniors as National Merit Semifinalists. The commended scholars will not move on in the National Merit Scholarship process but are among the top 50,000 scorers out of 1.5 million test-takers from the 2019 PSAT/NMSQT. The Semifinalists from Grady are Lauren Silcock, Dana Richie, Sechan Tak and Jack Rosen. The commended scholars from Grady are Joanna Baker, Nicolas Bizot, Benjamin Borthwick, Anna Federova, Samuel Hoch, Samantha Huray, Jorge Navarrete, Maura O’Sullivan, Emma Pickren, Safia Read, Griffin Richie, Erin Taylor and Kathleen York.
