The Columbia Scholastic Press Association named the Southerner and thesoutherneronline.com a “Crown” award finalist on Oct. 31. It was rated a “Gold Medalist” earlier this week. When CSPA holds its annual spring convention in March 2020, the Southerner will learn if it will receive a Gold or Silver Crown.
