President Trump is scheduled to meet with the top four congressional leaders on Sept. 29, before the government funds are set to run out on Sept. 30. which would lead to a government shutdown, unless Trump and Capitol Hill leaders reach an agreement.
If a government shutdown does occur, Federal workers, including military personnel, would not be paid and would be temporarily discharged. Along with this, it could also put strain on the economy, as it is already fragile due to high inflation rates caused by tariffs implemented by Trump.
