Show appreciation to veterans with ‘Thank You’ notes

Let veterans know their service is appreciated with goody bags and "Thank You" notes. Come to social studies teacher Mary Van Atta's room (C225) during lunch on Nov. 9th to pack goodie bags and write "Thank You" notes to veterans. Holiday food drive provides for less fortunate

Help those in need this holiday season, while getting service hours. Bring canned foods, dried pasta, beans, olive oil, and other non-perishables to Ms. Vann Atta's room (C225) through December 6th. Students will receive 1 service hour per 5 items brought. For a full list of qualifying foods, contact Ms. Vann Atta.

Senior advertisements due next week

DECA students perform well at state conference

Cassie Maggard, Rebecca Bates, Janese Bennett, Zahna Jenkins, Keven Dorcenvil, Sam Rose, Aiden Abramowitz, Prince Black, and Grady DECA Advisor, Tony Davis all attended the Georgia DECA Conference on October 17 and 18. All of the students achieved at least 95% on DECA Statesmen Testing, and  3 students were recognized for top Marketing Role-Plays

Bike to School Day celebration set for Tuesday morning

The Bike to School Day celebration will be on Tuesday, October 29 from 7:45 to 8:20 AM. Bike or walk to school and receive prizes in the main courtyard when you arrive. The event is hosted by Transportation YOU, Pedestrian Club, and Georgia Commute Schools. 

Stage fright concert

The annual Stage Fright concert will be held in the Theatre on Tuesday, October 29th. Support the Grady Chorus and Voxology club, as well as the Grady band, on this spooky evening. The starting time has yet to be announced. 

Latin club scavenger hunt

Latin club will be creating a festive, fall scavenger hunt this Thursday, October 17th, after school. Latin club dues are $10. Those who are in latin club can also pay for a spot at the spring Latin Convention in 2020. 

Boss Lady film screening

A screening of the short film, Boss Lady, produced by Grady faculty member Ms. Shumate, will be held in the Grady theater on October 19th at 5Pm. Come by to get a special screening of the film and to support the Grady community. 

UNICEF pencil drive

Donate your pencils to UNICEF for volunteer hours. Bring used and new pencils to Ms. Cosby's room on C309 to get credit.
