Schedule adjusted for Economics EOC

Economics students will be taking their End of Course Exam this Wednesday, Dec. 11. The schedule will be altered to accommodate this exam, and there will not be a C day this week. Monday and Thursday will be A days. Tuesday and Friday will be B days. Wednesday, the EOC day schedule will be a B day with and extended 2B, followed by a shortened 3B, 4B and 1B.

The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later opens on Dec. 5. The production will run from Thursday to Saturday at 7:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Tickets for adults are $12 and tickets for students are $8.

Holiday food drive provides for less fortunate

Columbia Scholastic Press Association names Southerner ‘Crown’ award finalist

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association named the Southerner and thesoutherneronline.com a "Crown" award finalist on Oct. 31. It was rated a "Gold Medalist" earlier this week. When CSPA holds its annual spring convention in March 2020, the Southerner will learn if it will receive a Gold or Silver Crown.

Orchestra director wins APS teacher of the year

Orchestra Director Krissi Davis won the Atlanta Public Schools Excellence in Teaching Award. Davis was one of three finalists and was presented with the award on Oct. 29. This is Davis's third year at Grady and 14th year teaching.

Bike to School Day celebration set for Tuesday morning

The Bike to School Day celebration will be on Tuesday, October 29 from 7:45 to 8:20 AM. Bike or walk to school and receive prizes in the main courtyard when you arrive. The event is hosted by Transportation YOU, Pedestrian Club, and Georgia Commute Schools.
