In response to security issues, Midtown students must remove Chromebooks, Chromebook chargers, binders with metal rings, umbrellas and metal water bottles from their backpacks before entering cafeteria metal detectors in the morning.

In an attempt to avoid long lines in the morning with these new metal detector protocols, Midtown administrators recommend students arrive as early as 8 a.m.
