Atlanta Public Schools will host its Special Olympics on May 24 at 9 a.m. at Lakewood Stadium, where more than 300 special education students from 45 schools will participate in various competitions. They include the 25 and 50-meter walk, dash and wheelchair races, the bean-bag toss and the tennis ball throw. The event comes back following a three-year interruption due to the pandemic.
