The APS Center for Equity and Social Justice awarded ten educators in the district 1,500 dollar stipends to launch equity-related programs at their schools. The educators, who the district describes as “equity champions”, were all nominated by their colleagues, and range from principals to special education teachers. The winners include Howard Middle School principal Kevin Maxwell.
