Seniors Noor Gebba, Zoe White and Lila Chiles are currently collaborating on a series of African-inspired paintings and portraits to sell in Little Five Points. “We chose African because Zoe’s from Ethiopia, Lila’s parents are from Cameroon and my parents are from Egypt,” said. “I want to associate black people with Egypt more because they’re always portrayed inaccurately as white in movies. In 2020, there’s a lot more [African art] in the mainstream media, but there’s always room for more.”
